Things you should never expect your kids to do for you.

As a parent, you do expect a lot from your kids. You sacrifice your entire life just for them. In one way or another, some parents feel that their children owe them. They feel that their children should give back to them. Parenting is just free. It is a commitment to guide your kids in the right direction and let them decide on their choices. Don’t allow yourself to have physical health problems while trying to control your kids.

At times, parents find themselves loving too much. You go to the extent of being obsessed with your child’s every move. If you are that kind of parent here are the things you should never expect your kids to do for you.

1. Fulfill your dreams.

As children grow up, there are times you view yourself in them. You know very well where you went wrong, maybe in academics or your talent. There is that urge that you feel like making them become what you wanted to become. You end up forcing your kids to join careers they have Zero interest in. Don’t drive your kids into depression be easy on them.

There those parents who have a picture of the kind of kids they want in life. If your kids turn out to be different you end up frustrating your own gift. Just accept the kids you have, and love them according to their abilities. Every kid is a gift.

2.Meet your inner needs

If you are not happy in life don’t expect your kids to do that for you. As long as you are right in whatever things you are doing as a parent just be comfortable. Do your best and get satisfied with it. It’s very unfortunate that a number of parents want to be understood, heard, loved, and appreciated.

If your kids don’t do it, be strong, and love yourself after all you know you can be your priority. Build your inner needs, address them before you grow old, and start lamenting. Parents should invest in their mental health and try as much as possible to be happy. With time your children will grow up and learn to appreciate you for who you are.

3.Fulfill your imagination

If you have never fulfilled your fantasies, never let your kids fulfill them for you.It is sad how some parents will use their kids by all means to meet their imagination.May it be of power or control none of your fantasies may seem important to your child.Influencing your kids negatively will always lead to negative results. At times parents train kids who end up being bullies. Avoid chasing your fantasies through your children

Parenting is different, and everyone’s way of parenting is different. As parents, you should know that your kids also have a brain, just guide them and they will make perfect choices. You can suggest options but not make final decisions on some matters. Learning not to expect a lot from your kids will save your mental health. What every young Adult should know before marriage
